(API) Robot API - Selection by attributes.

Hello all,

I would like to know if Robot API allows you to do the same type of special selection by attributes as the GUI does.

I have been reading through the API User Guide, but I cannot find how to do the following:

- Given a node

- Select the finite elements associated with that node

- Select the panels associated with those finite elements

Of course it can be done - of course by your own 🙂

Create in similar way other selections you want

I just wanted to made sure that there wasn't a direct method to do it.

I have done it as per your script, but I have many nodes and panels so I was hoping to find a way to increase speed (currently it takes 3 hours to run the script).

Hope you are comparing selections, not using too many loops
