It would be nice if some time soon the Robot API for creating models was overhauled. It is very slow compared to generating structural analyis software data in all the other programs I interact with.
Robot API.
Use cache
Use dll instead of exe files. This approach is at least 5 times faster

Can you outline what is and isn't possible with the cache? Seems from a quick google loads aren't.

Is mixed mode possible?
I already compile to a .dll that is loaded as a plugin in Rhino. This references the robot API that executes the robot application to create the model. Does this mean it's already using the faster option?
Perhaps I should develop a Robot plugin to import an IFC structural analysis file as a faster means.
Cache for nodes, bars
For panels:

Thanks, I will look into this more and post to a new thread if I have questions. I already implemented the multi operation, but I haven't been using the cache for bars.
It can be interesting for you : http://www.4shared.com/file/lhZsHsAIce/AU2013.html
Please download this presentation and look at first movies there
Hi GeomGym
I really hope you can achieve a Robot link as a GH pluging that can achieve something like the AU presentation shows......
This will be such a fantasitc step!
