Wall parts not visible under floor

I have a project that's plank and bearing wall.  I have seperated the walls into parts so that I can show just the core elements.  The parts are visible above the slab but below the slab they aren't, I should see hidden lines.  In the Parts Visibility I have selected "Show Parts", if I change this to "Show Original" or "Show Both" hidden lines appear but they are the full width of the wall, the parts still are invisible.  I have all visiblity settings correct and my Discipline is set to Structural.  Wireframe shows them but with solid lines.  What am I missing here??

Parts are not elements that participate in the Automatic Hidden Lines functionality that works in Structural views.

If you'd like to see hidden lines with Parts, you would need to use the manual hidden lines tool.

(You are not missing anything)
