Unable to Sweep

I'm trying to put a 90lbs rail in my Revit structure 2010 model. The best way i've found was to "Sweep" a profile that i've downloaded from Autodesk Seek (Crane Rails.rfa), I can pick the path no problem but I'm absolutly incapable of:

1-load the profile from the RFA file i've downloaded. (i can load it but its hidden somewhere... & not in the profile drop down list)

2-tried pasting the profile prior to sweep as a detail component. Not working, it seem its not a valid profile for sweeping.

So here's my question:

How can you add a 3D rail member inside the revit model...? Why is my sweeping not working?

Thanks!

The RFA file that you have downloaded is categorized under  "Detail Item",

You will need to Create a new profile family using "Metric profile.rft" & draw this shape & load this new profile family into Revit. Then you will be able to use this profile when you use the sweep command.
