Split Columns

I have a full height column but like to split it at the floor levels. Is there a way to split this column? I know if you copy the columns from the arch. model there is an option to split at each level.

Thanks

The split tool cannot be used on vertical columns.

A workaround, you can change the column from Horizontal to Vertical, using the "Column Style" parameter in the properties palette.

After that, you can use the split tool on the columns.

However, the columns that are created retain the original level constraints- that is, they have the same top and bottom level, with different offsets.

In the future, you would be better off modelling the columns as they will be build, or as close as you can determine that at the start of the project.

Regards,

Joe
