Snapping to center of wall core

So I want to move a column and snap to the center of of the core of linked arch wall assembly, but it doesn't want to find it.  Is there a way to set the Revit to snap to the center of a core in wall assembly?

While you cannot directly snap to the wall layers with a column, you can snap with grid lines - you could make a temporary grid intersection to snap the column to and then delete the lines.

I hope this helps!

I think you miss read my question, so I will try and expalin it better.  When I use the move command on a column, I can snap to it's center for the start point,  now I want to place the center of that column in center of the structural layer on the linked arch wall assembly, but Revit won't find it as a snapping point.

Hi,

Change the location line of the wall to core centerline and you should be able to snap to the center of core.

I apologize for any confusion - what I was trying to say was that because the column will not snap to the linked wall's centerline, you could snap grid lines to the centerline and then snap the column to the grid intersection. I understand that you would like to snap to the wall directly, but this could be a way to work around that.
