Revit & Xsteel compatible?

I am the engineering manager for a struct steel fabricator.
My detailers currently use XSteel 11, how can REVIT help us?

One of our largest customers has started using Revit and they are under the assumption that if they send us their BIM that it will speed up the detailing process and we will be able to produce shop & erection dwg's sooner.

They are of course looking to reduce the cost of detailing. I have no problem with that if the Revit data is truly helpful and provides the necessary information to my struct steel detailers, but if we still have to re-create the 3D model in Xsteel, I see no benefit.

Any comments, observations, or suggestions are welcomed.

THANKS
