I have a steel beam schedule on one of my drawings that isn't quite behaving properly - my structure has 105 beams of various sizes, all of which appear in the schedule fine. The problem is that there is another 105 beams, of zero length and with no other discernible properties creating another line in the schedule - see attached JPG. I've got a feeling that this is something to do with the analytical model, but turning this off doesn't help. I've never seen this before so it could be something new in 2014 that I've not been using for too long yet. Does anyone know what causes this how I can get rid of this line?
Thanks in advance.
Hi Conor,
Thanks for the reply, but I've already checked the filters. In fact, I added the Comments parameter to the schedule, added a dummy comment to all the beams I wanted to see and filtered the schedule to only show that comment, but with no effect. I also tried the reverse if this - putting a comment on the unwanted entries and filtering so as not to show beams with that comment. Again, no success.
As for itemizing every instance, I originally had the schedule that way, and all the 105 extra members are there, but the Types (Section Sizes) are all blank and of length 0mm.
Something that reinforces my view that this is something to do with the analytical model is that I've since had to remove one beam from the model. One of the blank entries was also removed and I now have only 104.
Can you show us a screenshot of the schedule's setup ( the fields chosen for the schedule, and the applied filters?)
Thanks,
Joe
Joe,
I've attached a couple of screen dumps showing the schedule, both with and without the 'Itemize every instance' box ticked, and all the columns un-hidden. As you can see, I also tried to filter the blank lines out by Mark as well as Comments, but with no joy. Hope this helps you work it out!
Simon.
What category did you choose when you created the schedule? Can you also show us a screenshot of the "Fields" tab?
