"Show Hidden Lines" tool and stairs

Hi

I'm preparing wall elevations and wish to show my monolithic stairs behind the wall as hidden. I try to use the 'Show Hidden Lines' tool and it will let me select the stair, but it still won't show it.

To be honest, anything that is part of the structure should display anyway as hidden. Perpendicular walls do, floors do, beams do....

The only work around is to change the view style to Wireframe but then I have to change the linework of perpendicular walls beyond to hidden.

Are you in 2012 or 2013?

If you are in r2013, and the hidden lines are important to you, you may be able to accomplish what you want by making a "stair by sketch" (The same as r2012 and earilier).

Unfortunately, you can't show hidden lines for r2013 default stairs.

Cool thanks Joe. I can't remember which method i ended up using for the stairs. I'll have a look.

That solved the issue, thanks Joe.

Also, I am using r2013.
