We have a situation where we have a 16 story or so model drawn. The client has come back and stated they would like to add another floor. So our Structural guy was going to move the roof, penthouse, etc. up 14' so he could stick in another floor. We have tried a couple of different ways to move it, each time it wants to blow out all of the detail views. Several details have been derived from this model, with several annotative detail components added. What I mean by that, is the detail is a hybrid, some model, some 2d annotation.
Without getting to wordy - any way we can accomplish moving the top two floors (Roof area and Penthouse) up 14' without blowing away have of our details?
It looks like we can move the levels up 14' - then come back and stretch the detail callouts up - then go to the view and move the annotation up 14'. There are a lot of details, so it becomes tedious.
Wondering if there is a better way?
