Microdrainage

Afternoon

Can you import microdrainage files directly into Revit?

If not, when the microdrainage file has been imported into Civils 3D, can you import both the civils 3D and microdrainage into Revit this way?

Thanks in advance

Ian

Here is some info on the formats that Revit can open/import.

Open formats:
Revit native formats (RVT, RFA, RTE, and RFT)
ADSK
IFC

Link/Import formats:
RVT
DWG
DGN
SAT
SKP
DWF Markup
PCG
BMP
JPG
JPEG
PNG
TIF
RFA

Revit can also index the following point cloud formats to PCG files which can then be brought into Revit:
FLS
FWS
LAS
PTG
PTS
PTX
XYB
XYZ

What type of microdrainage files are you looking at?

At present they are SWS files, but i understand you have been asked to see if Revit will be able it import microdrainage MDX files.

Do you know if this will happen?

Thanks

If you are referring to Mathew's comment from the following thread, I believe he was referring to the UK & Ireland content pack in Civil 3D (i.e. that Micro Drainage is working with us to allow MDX files to be imported into AutoCAD Civil 3D): http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/AutoCAD-Civil-3D/Microdrainage-Windes/td-p/3534646
