Is there or has anyone created a family for KCS Joist?

What difference in joist properties do you need other than the designation? Just duplicate the same size K joist and name it KCS.

Thanks, I will do that.
I thought since kcs was an industry standard that there would already be a family for it.

There is a differance. The KSC joists have different values. Here is the
family with the correct values. I hope that they help.

Is that file available in 2009 version or is there a way to load it into 2009 version.
I tried to load the family and Revit gave me file was saved in a later version of revit and cannot be retrevied in this version.

Thanks

Yes, a 2009 version would be great. We have 2010, but since we are consultants, we have to keep multiple versions active to satisfy the architect who doesn't want to upgrade yet.

Thanks for sharing this.

No problem. Many people have helped me here in the past. Just time to
return the help to others.

I am going out on a limb here and guessing that if you take the k-series angle web joist family from any version of Revit, copy it and name the copy of the rfa the same as the txt file provided above.
