Insert drafting views from another file

I am using Revit Structure 2011.  When I try to insert a drafting view from another Revit Structure 2011 file I get an error message error message that it is unable to copy the elements.  I have been able to insert some drafting views from previous releases of Revit. 

Does anyone know what I need to do to fix my problems?

Are there any DWGs imported into the Drafting view? I would suggest going to Visibility/Graphics > Imported Categories in the view, and checking to see that there aren't duplicate copies of the same DWG imported into the view, as that can cause the error when attempting to insert into a different file.

All the detail views that I am importing are created in Revit, and I do not have any duplicate.

I have a few additional questions:

1. If you insert the view into a blank Revit file, does it work?
2. If you Purge Unused first, does the error still occur?
3. In the Project Browser, go to Families > Detail Items. Are there any duplicate entries of the same family?

When I insert into a blank Revit file the following happens.

If the file I am inserting from is earlier than 2011 - it comes in fine.

If the file I am inserting from is 2011 it does not work.

(I have tried several files from both versions with the same result.)

Purge unused I still get the error.

There don't appear to be any duplicate detail items.

I see that you're on Subscription. Can you log a Support Request so we can take a look at the file?
