identify architectural linked elements

Once the architectural file is linked in revit structure, how do you quickly identify the architectural components, such as the autocad Express tool "List Xref/Block Properties". also, when i copy the levels, grids then columns, my columns came in as steel w10's while the architectural file showed concrete columns. please advise. thanks

You select the linked file, then by tabbing, you should be able to select the individual architectural component to see it in the upperleft pulldown. Selecting a specific item should allow you to see the proerties of the item, although everythin will be grayed out.

The columns changed, since this is the what your file had set as a default under the copy/monitor settings.
