Display of Hidden Lines of Structural Concrete Components in section & Elevation

Hi,

 

When i take a section, I'm able to represent the Structural concrete components in hidden lines which are beyond the wall.. but i was unable to replicate the same in an elevation view.. What coiuld be the problem.. pls suggest a solution

Elevaton views will not generate automatic structural hidden lines, only Plan and Section views with the "discipline" parameter set to Structural.

 

There are two workarounds: one is to use a section view- you can create a section view head that looks similar to an elevation view head using the family editor.

The other is to use the manual hidden lines tool.

Hi Joe,

Thanks for the information.. I tried to make an elevation to refer a section, but that was not provided by auto desk in refer other views option.. so I go for your first workaround.. thanks again..
