customized span direction symbol

Hello All

To all the revit structure gurus, your help is needed.

I am in a bit of a time constraint, I am working on a project that has several deck types through out each floor. What I am looking for of if someone has any kind of instruction on how to create a customized span direction symbol. what I am looking for is something that you would similar in cad where you can stretch the symbot to the limit of each deck type. The OTB symbols are okay for when I have the same type through out the floor but I need to be able to differentiate the the different types. I have created families before but I am not that advance and my time is limited.

If someone could either share their familie if available, this would be appreciated.

I am working in RST 2012.

Thanks in advance

Kevin

Sorry. We typically define deck type and span direction with 2 different elements. Deck type is done via sheet notes, whereas span direction is defined with the OTB symbol. Maybe not the most efficient method, but it provides a lot of flexibility.
