Creating Shop Drawings of families inserted in project

I've created a structural connection part (see attachment) based on a generic face based model.

I've inserted the part on a sloped surface. The part is always used on a sloped surface.

I created an assembly of the inserted part and views as well.

The created views are not suitable for shop drawings because they are rotated according to their original placement.

I'd like to get orthogonal views like in the structural family.

What would be a good practice to handle the case? What about creating a 'connector' project, insert my family orthogonally, link it to the main project and create appropriate views? A appreciate your ideas! Regards, Anders

I don't know how feasible this is, but you could insert an instance orthogonally, set up the assembly and views, and then use the Freeze Drawings extension to freeze those orthogonal views into Drafting Views. Then you could slope that instance and place your other ones and still have the orientation views set up orthogonally.

I'm not sure if that's any easier than your idea though, as the Drafting Views would be separate from the other Assembly Views, but I figured I'd throw it out there as an option.
