Concrete wall visibility

Revit 2015 - I've modeled concrete walls for a building and the visibility settings we have are such that the walls show up with a solid gray hatch in the Foundation Plan. I'm going back and adding ¾" wide panel joints using the Split with Gap tool. For some reason when I split the wall the graphics of the wall changes and the gray hatch disappears - all that's left is a concrete hatch in the wall. Has anyone come across this or knows why this happens. When I investigate the wall, nothing else appears to have changed in the instance parameters or in the geometry of the wall. Thanks in advance

Is it possible to send an example for two walls, one of split gab command and one before the split cpmmand, Also Provide us the screenshot of the issue you are having. Just wanted to double check if we see the same issue or not. It could be an update missing or graphic card driver issue.

Thanks for touching bases. Of course now I cannot recreate the situation to provide screen shots of the problem. If it pops up again I'll try and capture it to post. Thanks again
