Question:
Has anyone ever tried a project where all the disciplines (in seperate locations) worked out of the same RVT file using worksets? It seems like it might be useful to have a centrally located, single file. Bandwidth issues would likely be prohibitive, but I would like to know if anyone has tried it? Thanks.
There are people doing this (I haven't), but it really takes specialized (and expensive?) network hardware, such as Riverbed Technologies' Steelhead. (There are other hardware vendors that do the same thing out there, but I do not know the names)
Try googling "Revit Steelhead" (without the quotes) and you get a fair number of hits.
