When I create a quick 3D view in my projects I'm able to see devices and elements that are on the other side of walls. How can I make it so the walls in 3D views aren't transparent?
Change the discipline of the view to coordination (i.e. make it not Mechanical or Electrical).
In Mechanical and Electrical views the "non-mep" elements are drawn on a different draw pass than the MEP elements, so hiding between them doesn't take place.

In a new, appropriately named view - same goes for all view types, that way they don't change when placed on a sheet - Just in case you didn't know that already
