View range

Is it possible to vary your cut through a plan. We have a bank plan, where the building roof is quite a bit taller than the drive up roof. Electrical is needing a roof plan of booth and would like to do on same sheet. Currently we have our view range set so you can see both roofs, but we see all the arch - mech stuff we don't really want to see, we are just turning this off by a view override. I was wondering if we could have a cut that varied in depth across a plane?

Does that make sense? Higher in one area and lower in another. It would save us from having to hide items that get added later on, in some intances we can do a by category, but in others we can't.

Thanks for any insight

Jim

On the view menu there is a plan region which will allow you to have its own view range. Just draw the region around the area and set its view range. Edited by: margaretwiggins on Mar 25, 2009 5:14 PM
