Video Card RAM @ 2560 x 1600

Is anyone running Revit MEP 2010 with a monitor resolution at 2560 x 1600 under Windows 7 or Windows Vista? I am looking at a specifying a QuadroFX 580 w/ 512MB of RAM but I am concerned about the video ram at that high a resolution. I know the documentation indicates video card performance is not that important vs other factors but 2560 x 1600 is a big leap from 1280 x 1024 or even 1920 x 1280 in terms of video card memory usage.

I was hoping somebody else has already been down this road 🙂

I am.
I have 2560x1600 on my 30" and 1920x1200 on my 24"
I am using a 512 MB QuadroFX1800.
I have not encountered any obvious problems with this.

Thanks for the response!

Are you mostly working with wireframe model graphics or do you use the shading with edges view?

While working in the model we only use wireframe.
For Printing we use shading with edges.
