Vertical pipes and ducts show up green

Hello,

i work the last year everytime with Autocad MEP. I Started in this day with Revit Mep why i need to work on a Revit Architectural file.

I have a problem, i can't route ducts in vertical. For example, i route the distribution with all air outlets on the first level, then i need to connect the second level with vertical duct. When i change in the side view i can't to go with duct in vertical (It is impossible to draw on the plan view seen from to acute angle. Move the view or define the work plan).I change the work plan but when i continue the duct i have the same problem, the duct take everytime wrong plan. Why?

The subject line of this thread indicates to me that you are seeing the Rise/Drop symbols of the Duct/Pipe. Under Visibility/Graphics Overrides, turn off the Subcategories "Drop" and "Rise" under the "Pipe" and "Duct" Categories. (See image below). If this is not the issue you are having, please post some images to help explain your troubles.

In a Plan View, are you able to draw a Duct to create a 90° using that Duct Type, with an Elbow automatically being placed?

Try creating the vertical Duct in a perpendicular Elevation/Section View; looking at it from the side rather than straight on as shown in your bottom image. If it still gives you trouble, are you getting an error message if you click to draw the vertical Duct?

Could you post your Project file so I can take a look? What version of Revit are you using?

In the Plan view, click at the starting point of the duct, then change the offset to desired value or level, then click anywhere
if this does not clear your problem go to this link

Try drawing the elbow in plan view, then click the flip arrow so the elbow is going the correct way you want & see if that works. If it does work you may or may not be able to add duct to it but at least start with this. Also you could try in plan view to change elevation, in other words draw duct say at 10'-0", click on screen then change elevation to say 14'-0" & click again. This should give you an elbow at top & bottom.

with the "trick" to change elevation it works. But it's not possible to use everytime this escamotage.

Can anyone upload a little example project where is possible to modell in vertical the ducts?

i tried the drawing you uploaded and i get it worked.

if you want to create a riser hit the "apply" button twice after you put the desired offset; but if you want to create a riser followed by a duct/pipe, hit the "apply" once then click to desired orientation/position of the duct/pipe.

if nothing happens when you follow the steps above, try increasing the elevation difference.

hope this helps.

Please mark Accept as Solution if your question is answered!
Thank You.

In elevation view don't work. I can make vertical ducts only with the trick offset change.
