We recently updated to the AutoCAD 2014 and Revit 2014 MEP programs and are having issues with file administrations. Although I have access to change the electrical sheets, every time I try to update something the creator of the file added to the drawing, I have to request and receive their permission before the program allows me to make a change. How do we change it so I am also an administrator, and have more than view and edit permissions?
It sounds like you have users that are taking ownership of view worksets and not relinquishing them when they synchronize with central. They might be doing it on purpose to make it harder for people to change things or they may not know any better (training issue). You need to become more familiar with Revit's Worksets and Worksharing features.
