To filter Piping and Fittings do the following

first you have to duplicate "fitting and pipe" families and rename them with new system your intending to use, then right click to the properties and under identity data " Assembly code" you will be guided to all categories window where you can chose assembly code for you system", then go to the filters window and use the same Assembly code there also, you can copy and paste it under the filter rules, filter by Assembly code -equals- NO. "which you copy it from the first step" hope this will help and please give feed back of there is any problem i tried this procedure and it works, i don see for ex. chilled water pipes and fitting in plumbing views

What are you trying to accomplish? Filtering pipes/fittings/accessories by system for system specific views?

The designed workflow is to create the Systems and assign a name to the System, then filter based on System Name.

Alternatively, you can use the default view templates that already filter for Domestic Water vs. Hydronic, but typically more granularity may be required, and as described above, this can be accomplished with System Names.

You can name a system whatever you want. For compressed air, you'd likely defer to the System Type of 'Other' for the definition of the connectors... however, when you actually create the system, you can name it whatever you want. This can be done a few different ways, but perhaps the most straight forward is to right-click the system in the System Browser (In this case, 'Other 1'), Select Properties..., then for System Name, rename to 'Compressed Air'.

Once this is done, all interconnected pipe segments, fittings, and accessories will inherit this system name. Thus, you can use View Filters to filter based on system name to only display the pipe components as appropriate for a particular view.
