Systems in Templates

I am wandering if there is a way to define new system types inside the project template other than the ootb systems like sanitary, hydronic supply/return, wet fire protection, etc?

For instance, I have an autocad mep template with about 30 different plumbing systems and another template with 40 Duct and Fitting systems. I want to duplicate these templates in Revit Mep so that I don't have to redefine a system in every new project.

Thanks,

Clark Morgan

Hey Clark,
I wouldn't recommend trying to hammer the "Systems" idea from AutoCAD MEP into the hole available in Revit MEP, it's just not going to work. We have already discussed much of this topic already in previous threads, so I won't re-hash everything.

Before I go into any detail, I have the following questions:

* What specific tasks are you trying to accomplish with the "pre-defined" systems?

* What is the "pain" that is associated with the definition if systems in a new project?
