Switched receptacles to relays

How would one connect a power device to a switching system?

To my knowledge, you can't. It's apples and oranges.

I'm assuming your talking split wired recpectacles correct? We don't even show that on the same drawing (power plan vs. lighting plan) but rather a note referencing to the switch controlling the receptacle on the lighting plan and the receptacle being controlled by the switch on the power.

Be interesting to hear if you can, but I don't see it correlating.

I finally just created a light fixture type receptacle. This works; however you still must put one on the power plan because when they rough-in the wall boxes they need to have that information on the plans so that they don't forget about them or omit completely. Since it is a light fixture it will work with a switching system.
