Shading factor in Revit?

Hi!

I thought there was something in Revit MEP that would take into account the shading factor of a window...but I can't seem to find it now.  Is there a place to input shading factor for the heating and cooling load calcs?

Thanks!

Go to ‘Project Browser’ à Click on ‘View’ à  press ‘V’ and ‘B’ together in your keyboard and open Visibility Graphic’ dialog box ànow click on ‘Filter’ à add ‘Filter’ à click on ‘Edit/New’ à select ‘Categories’ à now click OK à after choosing your desired input category, now again click and select on that category within the ‘Add Filter’ dialog box à click OK.

Now again in Visibility Graphic’ dialog box à go to ‘Project Surface Patterns’ à select your preferred color as well as shade pattern and click OK.

Hi amontri,

Currenly, this is no separate window factor setting in heating and cooling calculation. THe link below shows what settings are available for Heating/Cooling calculation. Please check the link.
