Selection of type fittings and joints

Hello,

i have 2 questions...

1. Sometimes i need to have connection between pipe with Tee and sometimes with a branch.

I created 2 type of Pipe with a different preference for the branch. One with Tee and one with welded joint. This why i've seen that i can't insert the  2 type of connection in the same preference.

Is the right way???

2.When i connect 2 pipe i will have the possibility to select wich Tee to use between the 3 i have in the preference during the connection, not after. It's possible?
