Revit Server 2013 Error

Hi,

I have installed a setup of Revit Server 2013 with the following setup

  1. Host Revit Server in our datacentre in London
  2. Accelerator in our Local London office
  3. Accelerator in our Shanghai (China) Office

Above machines are VM’s, nothing else running on them, all exceed minimum requirements as setout by Autodesk.

Everything setup ok, all workstations connected to the accelerators, host working fine, syncing to central all works, so first impressions were great.

Then after a few minutes, I moved a pipe, and got the attached error in Revit in london. Then they got the same error in shanghai as well.

I synced to central and the error went away, but the error kept repeating itself frequently.

Any ideas what this could be,

Thanks

If you are using WAN Accelerators between sites, try disabling them and see if the issue is cleared.

Also, check for the bandwidth and latency between locations. The following video has information on this process:

Basic Network and IT Diagnostics

http://wikihelp.autodesk.com/Revit/enu/community/videos/Revit_Server/Basic_Network_and_IT_Diagnostic...

Note: Bandwidth and latency can be asynchronous (i.e. the bandwidth from A->B will not always be the same as from B->A); both directions should be checked.

Hi,

We are using Riverbed (and have this setup as per Autodesk whitepapers.)

I will try and pass the traffic through.

I am also having the problem just with our London Accelerator to London Host (with a 100MB link), it does it every 4 or 5 saves or syncs,

Other times its very quick.

I also just saved a revit file to the refvit server, then hit the workset button and got the attached error !! (ive seen some errors in my time, but never  'Warping Constant) !!

When Revit receives error codes from Windows, they are sometimes mapped to interesting messages.

In this case, File Not Found => Warping Constant.
