Revit MEP 2010 Won't Start

I have installed 2010 MEP on several computers, and no problem. XP, Vista
32, and Vista 64.
I have one Vista 32 machine wher the splash screen will come up, but then it
just hangs there, and the program will not launch. I have tried an
uninstall/reinstall....same problem.
Any Ideas??

I still haven't been able to get Revit MEP 2010 installed on Vista 32
machines. I have two that won't go. Tried installign Revei 2009 MEP first,
and it works fine, but 2010 is a no go. Locks up at the splash screen.

Are you trying to install is by the DVD or the Demo of Autodesk website? If you are still having problems try to download it & install it the other way. There might be a scratch or something on DVD that cause the problem. That is what I am guessing that is makiing something on the DVD to fully install correctly.

I have tried it many different ways.....fron dvd and from a download.
Neither worked. Neither provided an error on install either.

I have had 2010 installed on this 64 bit winXP machine and I have used it to produce one project.
Yesterday I started working with the C# VSTA macros and now I have a situation similar to what is being described here.

I launch 2010 and it just hangs with the cpu usage at about 25%

I can see that the basic UI has been drawn for Revit 2010.

2009 still works for me on this machine. I have both versions as we still have projects underconstruction that were started with 2009.

any ideas are helpful. I am repairing the .NET install of the 3.5 framework right now.

I was having the same problem, I finally was able to get it working.

What I did was installed Vista SP2 then any other windows updates after that until there were no more.
Revit 2010 opened up with no problems.

Hope this helps you.
