Revit Family Question - Incremental Parameter

Hi Everyone,

Hope you can help me with this

I am making a family and i want to put ID # on it, so if i tag the family the ID # will show

here is my question

Is there a way that if i copy paste my family the ID # will increment +1?

Thanks in advance.

The only parameter that functions like that is the 'Mark' parameter, which Revit adds to all elements in a Project as an Instance Parameter. Each time a new element is added, regardless of the Category, the value is increased to be a unique value (usually by +1). However, this parameter will most likely not suit your purposes as you will not get a consistent count for a particular family. I would recommend searching this forum for "MARK VALUE" (or a similar terminology) to learn more about it.
