Revit Duct Fittings Showing up 2" Larger Than Drawn

All,

I have a coordination model setup that links architectural, structural, electrical, hvac, plumbing, and fire protection.

The duct fittings are showing up as attached.  They won't shade the color even when forced and the elbows show up 2" larger around the perimeter.

I can't figure it out.  It's not insulation...

Anyone?

There are a number of things that could be causing the issue, it would be easiest if you could please send the fitting *.rfa

see attached

in addition, this only happens in linked models, not in the original hvac model.  in the oringal hvac model where the duct fitting family actually exists, it shows up correctly.

I'm assuming you are using 2012 or later

Strip the redundant insulation and lining extrusions out of the family and then reload into the models and test the coordination model.

Revit does display the elements in different orders. I found this in an older version when rendering ducts that had a 0 insulation value and different material values for the duct and the insulation. The ducts would show correctly but the fittings would show the insulation material

what i did was load the 2012 family fitting into the model, and overwrote the 2012 fitting family.

works completely fine now!
