Does anyone knows if the new Revit System includes Revit Building, similar to ABS including ADT?

It's built on the same code-base, and can certainly open files from Revit
Building. However while there are some basic architectural functions built
in, I don't think they're all exposed to the user interface. I've spent all
of about three hours with it so far, though, so I could be wrong.

For offices that are currently using ABS, and use the built-in ADT functionality and want to move to Revit. Is Autodesk going to make them buy two programs (Revit Building and Revit Systems) to have the same capability. Does not seem fair.

Is this enough, or do you need more?

It seems to have the basic architectural objects. Just curious, what is included in Revit Building, that is not included in Revit Systems, as far as architectural is concerned.

You will be able to buy "Revit Systems Series Pro", which will be Revit
Systems and ABS bundled together. So if yo already have ABS, you should be
able to switch to the Series package for a great price.

Actually I think it's Revit Systems Series Plus, but yes, it is Revit
Systems and ABS bundled together.

So why don't they have Revit Building and ADT bundled together instead of
Revit Building and AutoCAD?

Hi Everyone,

Here is the scoop...Revit Systems is available as part of the Autodesk AutoCAD Revit Series - Systems Plus bundle, which includes both ABS and Revit Systems. The purpose of the bundle to support our MEP customers who primarily are working in an AutoCAD-based workflow, though are looking to or are beginning to have the need to support Revit-based workflows as well. I could go into a lot more explanation but that is the purpose of the bundle in a nutshell. As for the Architectural functionality in Revit Systems... all Revit Building functionality exists in Revit Systems EXCEPT for the Site features and most of the Structural features. As for additional product "bundles" there have been many discussions for a variety of options, however the key here is what would make sense for the majority of our customers. Much research is ongoing and will be moving forward to ensure that we bring to our customers solutions that make sense based on their work methods. I hope that helps clarify most of the questions raised in this thread.

Is the Site feature included in Revit Structure?
