Plumbing syetem have changed

We are working in central Revit MEP-2014. Creating plumbing model with Plumbing Fixtures. In this fixture we have assigned DFU and WSFU values for Waste system, Cold water system & Hot Water system but not assigned any value for Vent system. Now problem is that after making a connection for a particular fixture with Waste, cold and Hot connection we draw a vertical pipe in waste system, then disconnect this connection from vertical fitting and change this system into Vent system force fully from property and connect it again with that fitting. At this time it working properly but after making  entire floor with 1000 of fixture connection it creates problem like vent system automatically changed in to waste system. Maximum time when we do save in local file or synchronize it into Central file. We correct this problem several time but it happen again and again. Is there any permanent solutions for this problem? If our process is wrong than what should be the correct way to solve this problem?

We have attached a snaps (Before & After) for your easy reference.

Thanks in advance!

Thanks & Regards

When you click TAB key on vent pipe, can you see dot lines (vent system)? I think there isnt a system on vent.

Thanks for your reply.

Mainly the vent pipe is a individual system family and the waste pipe is an another system family. When we connect the Vent system to the waste system for single plumbing fixture forcefully then the connected Vent system will be automatically changed as waste system (after synchronizing to central file).

Hi, RNDPIS, in such cases with two different systems, if you try and connect this kind of errors can occur. To resolve this, either you don’t join them just touch two systems or you need to use Revit connector family that allows you to make connection of two different systems. If you have such type of Revit connector family, apply it or you have to make such type of family on your own.

i agree with tesla. You should create a family which has two connector. like pipe fitting

Thanks for your feedback. We have given below our feedback regarding this issue:

Solution 1 Feedback:

If we align the vent pipe with the waste pipe, we cannot see the fixture unit which is auto generated from Revit and it is important to design.

Solution 2 Feedback:

If we follow the other solution there are some extra fitting, which is not required for the Project.

We have tried in a different way to change the vent pipe material. It gives a solution of this issue but it have been created an another issue when we connect the two different material (Waste & Vent Pipe material) a new unwanted fitting (coupling) automatically came from Revit 2014. So please suggest us.

Modify the coupling family to be what you want it to be and change it in the model you are working in and your template file.  Revit needs this fitting to properly connect to disimilar systems.  You will need the same type of fitting when you connect a hot water circulation line to a hot water line.  You should be able to add materials and properly modify the look up tables and sizes to fit what you want.
