Pipe Type Properties - Clamp Spacing

I am in Autodesk Revit 2014, update release 1.

Can someone please enlighten me on the Pipe Type property of "clamp spacing"?. What does this actually do? I set it to 5' and drew a 40' pipe, and saw no results... Is this supposed to place hangers? Does it only show up in the schedules?

Thanks

That is a Project Parameter - no such parameter exists in Revit by default. You can verify this by going to Manage tab » Project Parameters, and see if it's listed. My guess is that this was added by a third-party Add-In program.

You are right. I'm a goof. I think I created it myself a while back when trying my darndest to get some sort of hanger placement to work. I just forgot about it.

Thanks!
