Part Types

revit 2013

I am trying to break up my pipes with roll groove couplings

I have loaded victaulic coupling families and look up tables

I have checked the family and the part type is set as "union"

When I go to routing preferenced, The coupling does not appear in the dropdown list of unions

All I can see is a generic coupling

If I split the pipe with the generic coupling and then try to change it to my Victaulic coupling I get the error message "Changing the family for a MEP fitting might cause unexpected results."

The fitting then dissappears

I have not had problems with these fittings on revit 2012.

Can someone give me an Idea where to look to fix this?

Pete

Double-check the Connectors to verify that they are compatible with the Pipe you are trying to associate it with. If all seems correct, please post the troublesome Family here.

Hi,

Could you give us your sample project in 2012 and 2013 then we can check this issue exactly?

Regards,
