I have recently carried out an electrical project using Revit MEP on a project in the carribean which used the US system, voltages and wiring methods.
I used the schedule to sum the loads for each phase, but using a bi-phase supply for an air conditioning load, the programme did not appear to sum the loads correctly.
I may be wrong as we do not use bi-phase supplies for wiring equipment in the UK (its either 1 phase or 3 phase) and I am not too familiar with this wiring method.
Can anybody clarify?
So when you say bi-phase are you talking about a 2 pole system? The US typically uses a Delta-Y system. Simply put, 1-pole, amps by voltage (120v typcally), 2-pole, amps by voltage (208v) divided by 2 for load on each phase.
