Operation is not valid due to the current state of the object

I have posted this on the AUGI forum with no response - apologies for cross posting - need help !

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have been writing some code to insert duct fittings and adjust their parameters. All was well until I hit the "Duct\Fittings\Rectangular\Transitions\M_Rectangular Transition - Length.rfa" fitting.

I am trying to set the instance parameter "Duct Width 1" but get this warning error:

"Operation is not valid due to the current state of the object"

Looking at the object as inserted in to a revit project this parameter is editable by clicking on the connection label and changing the value but not through the property inspector (its greyed out). Is this likely to be the source of the error???

Looking at the object in the family editor this parameter appears exactly the same as the "OffsetWidth" parameter which is editable on the inserted object. What is the difference??? How can I change the "Duct Width 1" value by code???

Many thanks,

Matt
