Need to Change Pipe color for entire project

Hello

Is there a way to change to pipe color to show the same color in all views?

At the moment some views show DCW as cyan, some views show it as green, others show it as blue, etc....

Is there a procedure to show the pipe systems as one color for the entire project?

I went to "Piping System" in the project browser and selected the "Type Properties" to changed the DCW system to "Red" BUT IT DID NOT

changed for the entire project.

.............your thoughts

Thanks

There are things you can do to accomplish what you want. Revit has many settings in different places to determine how things look.

Standard values, graphics overrides, filters, phasing etcetera. In Revit one settings overrides the other due to precedence rules.

Instance overrides have the highest precedence. Next in line are the view filters. So you could consider to prepare a template with views, view templates and filters setup to accomplish what you want.

To better understand the precedence rules of Revit checkout THIS and THIS website.

hi baltt,

i thik you need to create filters for the project better create template for the each view (3d, plan, section, ect..)

add the filters on the each view template give the same color.

image 1 - create template for each view

image 2 - create filters by categories use filter rules (filted by) depend on your parameter (type name, type, ect...)

image 3 - add your filters and change your lines graphics (line weight, color, pattern)

enjoy

i hope this is the solution for your Query

changing the colour under piping system/type properties is the simplest way but this will only work when there are no filters applied for that piping system.

We limited our use of view filters for colors when this feature was added to the Pipe systems - keep your view filters to control visibilty (not colors) of different system classification or types, to add linetypes to pipe placeholders (including size ranges) for views where you want to show single/double line in the same view, or to show existing/new/demolition when you're not using the phase tools. Pipe system settings are the best way to control this globally, and you should have these defined in your project template.

To save some time, you can copy pipe systems from a project to a template, using the Transfer project standards tool.

You made a global change by altering the pipe system type property to red, but some of your views still have color filters that are overriding the red setting. Just remove those filters.
