material takeoff


Hello,

      I hoping someone can help me with this, can a schedule (material takeoff)  be build with the pipe length and totals from the sheet of a complete project??

The Pipes Category does not appear to be available for use in Material Takeoff Schedules. You may be able to rig something up with a normal Pipe Schedule using Sort/Grouping and Calculated Values. If you need more assistance, can you provide more info on what information you need?

Thanks for the info, 

 

 

 

i was able to kind of get a solution with using the comment ans the filters commands. The other problem im having is when im selecting a underground sanitary waste pipe it only selects the lateral line but for an accurate takeoff i need to get the risers as well. any tips thanks
