the built in apache engine is limited in its input and output. the built in engine alone is not enough to use for energy modeling and would require the full ies software for modeling of systems for LEED documention.
So essentially what I'm building in Revit and using in IES cannot meet the requirements for doing a LEED energy analysis? Is it possible to export the model & run IES separately to comply?
for the time being i would do your LEED analysis and simulation in IES but i imagine autodesk is working on getting a lot of that integrated into Revit through GBS, and hopefully!! through energyplus since water side simulation in IES is sub-par.
