We currently have a family "Lighting Switches" and under that all our lighting switches...ie single-pole...3-way....4-way..etc. created as types of that family.....We also have a lighting device tag assigned to the family and assigns a 3 for 3-way...a 4 for 4-way....m for motion...etc....This all works great untill we get to a single-pole which we dont label, and since there is no value "blank space" within the tag parameter for a single pole revit puts a ? on the drawing.....Is there a workaround for this or a value, formula, or anything that when placing the sigle-pole, with tag on placement option turned on it would show nothing rather than a ?.
With air terminal tags, I make additional types in the family that has a dash in place of the missing value, then control whether the value or the dash shows with yes/no parmeters mapped to the visibility.
It means I have to manually chnge the tag to the no value type variant, but it looks nicer than a ? or just a space.
