Okay, Me and my MEP teams are trying to get what's left of our heads around the Cals' tools inside Revit, and where the failure and shortcomings are being pulled from as we try to 'Validate' the tools and calc's. One area that the guys and girls keep asking is....Where and/or what are the K Coefficient Tables, and how do we see what they are made of, to determine the correct (or Incorrect) values for the selected fittings and such. We know about the Calculation values from the Refence files in Wikihelp, but htat only goes so far.
In other words they really do want to know what makes the Calc tools tick?
So, are they hardcoded, and if not, where do these tables reside?
See attached for an example.
Is this what you're looking for?
C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Revit MEP 2013\Program\PipeKFactors.xml
Edit: I believe that the actual calculations are indeed hardcoded. You may find more info by searching this forum or another forum like AUGI.
