Hatching mechanical Equipment

Hey does anyone have an easy way to show new mechanical equipment hatched, besides using the filled region tool.  I am hoping there is a display setting that will allow me to have new equipment shown as hatched automatically.

nevermind I figured it out.  Just went into V/G and set the mechanical equipment fill to the hatch I wanted.
