Family Showing Model Categories in plan view

The family attached if for a sidewall sprinkler, it is a face based family though. I want to show only the detail item in plan and i made everything other than the detail item family not to show in plan view though it still show it, any help will be greatly apperciated.

I tested this on Revit 2014 only.

I know this is always confusing.

If you notice that inside the family the host for the face based family is laying flat. However when you place it on a wal in your project your host is not laying lfat anymore. Basically your family rotates 90 degrees.

So in this case your plan view changed to front/back view and vice-versa. Thus in your family you have to set your visibility settings for front/back.
