I downloaded a cable tray that works great with an adjustable length. In the family editor I can edit the type widths and the 3D view reflects these different widths i.e. 12", 18", 24" etc.. After I loaded the family into my project I can change the types, but the family does not reflect the correct widths? Does anyone know why the in family editor I can make these changes, but not in the project it's loaded into?
Make sure the "Width" parameter is associated with the actual width of the object and not just a floating dimension or number. Also, make sure the "Width" parameter is a "Type" parameter and not an "Instance" parameter.
