Exporting Pipe

Why is it after i exporting my piping design into dwg/dxf file that the properties of the pipe is a line o a hatch?  Is there any possible way that the pipe properties will remain after exporting it to dwg/dxf file? Please I need help on this. Thank you.

The best you will be able to do is to export the Pipes as 3D Solids. The level of compatibility between these two very different programs will limit the exported information to the basic geometry. In order to do this, create a 3D View in Revit from which to export. Under the 'Modify DWG/DXF Export Setup' » 'Solids' tab, select "ACIS Solids".
