It looks from your post that aside from some network installation issues
that most of your issues are related to plumbing features or the lack
thereof.
Plumbing aside, what is your office's experience with the
HVAC/Piping/Electrical aspects of the software?

I recognize that the world as well as building/construction projects revolve
around architects. I understand that they should get all the cool
productivity tools first. But come on! Revit Systems is L-A-M-E compared to
Revit Building. Am I wrong in seeing Revit Systems as an unfinished product
now in the 2nd version of incompleteness? I'm not talking about content -
the lack of that I get. I'm talking tools and documentation. No plumbing
tutorial? Sure, it'd be short due to the fact that the cupboard is bare in
that area, but something, anything would be better than nothing. Even just a
page in the chm stating "Just use ABS..."
Ugh.
Here's my very preliminary list of s**t that's missing in v2. Keep in mind
that I am not a designer, but a CAD Manager - so I'm probably leaving stuff
out...
1) In the design bar, the Pipe Accessory option is empty and asks you to
load a family. Unfortunately, there is no Pipe Accessory Family included.
2) Selecting Web Library in the Open family dialog takes you to the Revit
9.0 Content Distribuition Center - where, again, there is no MEP content
(other than a few residential hvac items and some plumbing fixtures.)
3) No Plumbing tutorial in the help.
4) No Plumbing (or significant MEP) tutorial in eLearning.
5) The "Documents on the Web" in the Help menu takes you to a Revit Building
9.0 document site.
6) The only way to get instructions on how to install a network deployment
is to install a network deplyment (or standalone demo) and open the help
file. It's not accessible (that I could find) from the CD directly.
7) The instructions for Network Activation in the help file are incorrect -
or else my DVD is incomplete - as there is no "Navigator Screen". It just
starts into the Revit installation...
Again, I say Ugh. I wish they'd put half as much time and effort into
finishing this stuff as they do marketing it.
