In a previous post it was mentioned by Kyle B that we should be using Spaces and not Rooms. Using spaces is the correct thing to do for calculations but if you place an Electrical Panel in a room with a space the Panel Schedule will not show the location of where to find that panel. However, if you place a room inside the same location, the parameter set in Revit to create the Panel Schedule will pick this value up. The devices schedule properly using the space, it is not picking up the location value.
Is this a true fact?
Also with panels, i have circuited up some devices and when I am in the panel I move some of these devices to the bottom of the panel. Creating blank space not assigned between some devices defined in the top and the bottom slots of the panel. As soon as I exit and come back to the panel, it move the devices up. How do I go about making this happen?
